FAFSA Deadlines
Important Deadlines
For each academic year, you must meet both application and file completion deadlines to receive financial aid at Sonoma State University (SSU).
SSU must receive valid results of the FAFSA or CA Dream Application before the last day of scheduled finals if you complete the Fall or Spring semester, or by your last day of attendance if you withdraw from SSU prior to completing the semester. If you complete the Fall semester and return in Spring, the Spring deadline applies. For Federal Pell Grant only, continuing students who take eligible courses at SSU during Summer may have this deadline extended to the last day of your summer courses. (This applies to the Summer that follows Fall/Spring of the academic year.)
SSU must receive all To-Do List items necessary to establish your eligibility for financial aid one month prior to the last day of finals if you complete the Fall or Spring semester. If you withdraw from SSU prior to completing the semester, you must submit any outstanding items immediately upon withdrawal.
