Outside Resources

Funding received from outside sources that assist you in paying for your educational expenses. Examples of outside resources include, but are not limited to: faculty/staff tuition benefits, private donor scholarships, fellowships, assistantships, Americorp benefits and vocational rehabilitation benefits. Veteran’s Education benefits may not reduce federal or state financial aid eligibility, but must be reported to the Financial Aid Office. Receipt of outside resources must be reported to the FAO. Outside resources reduce your need and consequently may affect your eligibility for other financial aid. SSU will assume that outside resources received in the Fall semester will also be received in the Spring semester unless we are informed otherwise.
