If you submitted the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream Act Application (CADAA) for the 2022-2023 academic year, you should receive an acknowledgement or To Do List email from our office beginning November 29, 2021.
You may have To Do List items to complete before your 2022-2023 financial aid file can be reviewed. If so, you will receive an email notification from our office. Please submit items as soon as possible. Students will be able to complete the majority of forms and upload required documents through MyFA Forms. We expect to begin reviewing complete files starting in January in preparation for 2022-2023 financial aid award offers.
Newly admitted students without eligibility issues can expect a 2022-2023 award offer to be viewable in MySSU starting March 2022. If you receive a preliminary award offer make sure all of your To Do List items are complete in order to receive an official award offer notification. Students who still have a preliminary award as of June 1st will have their financial aid offer canceled. After June 1st financial aid will be awarded once To Do List items have been submitted and reviewed.
Continuing Students (including Extended Education)
Award offers for the upcoming academic year will be sent out beginning mid-April 2022 after all tasks have been completed and reviewed in MyFA Forms, and all To Do List items have disappeared from MySSU.
